A year after the inauguration of the first headquarters in Guayaquil, club president Enrique Cerezo travelled to Ecuador to inaugurate the second Academy location in the country, this time in the city of Cuenca. The event was attended by King Felipe VI of Spain, who was in Cuenca to participate in the XXIX Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, as well as the President of the Republic of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa.
With this, our club aims to expand its international presence, strengthen its connection with Korean fans, and open new opportunities for interaction with the sports community in Asia.
Our CEO considers the behaviour of a minority unacceptable and believes it should not tarnish the image of the thousands of Atlético fans. He assures that the club will continue to fight against such attitudes but calls on the authorities for help in expelling those responsible.
This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of ensuring that people with disabilities can fully enjoy leisure events such as football.
