Our team will close a complicated week this Sunday at 16:15 at the Vicente Calderón playing against Deportivo de La Coruña. Simeone’s team arrives from a positive dynamic after beating Real Sporting de Gijón last Saturday (5-0) and winning a valuable point at Camp Nou (1-1) in the mid-week match. For its part, the Galician team arrives after losing 1-2 against Leganés, which has left it with 5 points and in the 13th position on the table.

We have played Deportivo de La Coruña 98 times with 48 wins, 24 ties and 26 defeats. Last season, our team won the Galician team by 3-0 in the 29th week of the championship. Saúl Ñíguez, Antoine Griezmann and Ángel Correa were the scorers of the goals.

In the pre-match, Diego Pablo Simeone answered the media in the press room of the Vicente Calderón. The Argentinian manager analysed Sunday’s match: "We will have the players that we believe to be at their best and the ones we consider can solve tomorrow’s match. The only thing I care about is that the stadium is packed with people in red and white and that the team plays with the same excitement and intensity." For his part, Garitano, manager of Deportivo de La Coruña, assured: "Atlético de Madrid has one of the best squads and has one of the teams that is in better shape."

Simeone has called 19 footballers for this game. Due to a technical decision, the injured Tiago, Cerci and Moyá are not on the list. On the other side, Garitano has travelled with 18 players.
