The Wanda Metropolitano hosted the 2018 Copa del Rey final
FC Barcelona won the first-ever final played in our stadium.
The Wanda Metropolitano hosted its first-ever final, as FC Barcelona beat Sevilla FC in the 2018 Copa del Rey final. King Felipe VI of Spain presided the cup final hosted in our stadium, while Atlético de Madrid President Enrique Cerezo hosted both Barcelona and Sevilla’s directors as well as the members of the Royal House.
Both sets of fans filled our stadium and enjoyed a great spectacle on the pitch and before kick-off, the Wanda Metropolitano gave the spectators its spectacular light show. Luis Suárez (2), Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta and Philippe Coutinho were the goalscorers in the Wanda Metropolitano.
