How to reach the stadium

Fans have a number of options to choose from to reach the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, including using private vehicles as well as public transport. Our new meeting point is located in the northeastern area of Madrid, by the M-40 and within the vicinity of the airport and IFEMA.

The Metro, the recommended option


We recommend using the Metro to reach the Riyadh Air Metropolitano due to its spaciousness and proximity, as it is the most comfortable way to reach the stadium. The nearest stop is ‘Estadio Metropolitano’ on Line 7. However, you can also arrive at the stations ‘Las Rosas’ (Line 2) and ‘Canillejas’ (Line 5) which are both located a quarter of an hour away on foot. All of the stations will have an increased number of trains, and additionally, the EMT will operate a special bus service from two hours before and 1.5 hours after the event. The special bus will connect Canillejas transport hub with the Plaza de Grecia, situated in front of the stadium. We look forward to seeing you!


For all fans who do not possess a Transport Season Ticket, we recommended buying return tickets in advance. Passengers with the Multi Card will be able to access the system more quickly. In addition, we have decorated it with some Atlético-themed designs so that you feel at home from the very first moment!

Buses


On the other hand, 15 EMT lines and 20 intercity bus lines will serve the stadium’s surrounding area.


By car


Currently, expansion works are being made to improve the access and exit points at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. These are the best options for reaching the stadium by car:


  • From the M-40 South, take exit 10 “Avenida de Arcentales”.
  • From the M-40 North, take exit 9A “Avenida Luis Aragonés” to reach the West exterior Car Park and the Stadium’s underground Car Parks.
  • From the M-40 North, take exit 9B “Avenida de Arcentales” to reach the outdoor parking areas South A, South B and South C.
  • From the M-30 South, take the M-23 (O’Donnell axis), exit “Fuente Carrantona” then continue to Plaza de Alsacia and through the Las Rosas neighborhood to reach Plaza de Grecia.
  • From the M-30 North, via the A-2, take exit 7 “Av. 25 de septiembre - Feria de Madrid - Av. Logroño,” continue along the service road to Calle Alcalá, then go to the Canillejas roundabout and take Avenida Luis Aragonés.  

On match days, the Car Parks situated around Riyadh Air Metropolitano are exclusively for season ticket holders with parking passes in these Car Parks and for fans that have bought a parking ticket for the match. Access to parking will open from 12:00 CEST on the day of the match (from 10:00 CEST when the match is at 14:00 CEST or at 16:15 CEST) and up to two hours following the end of the match. Vehicles without parking passes, a parking ticket or those that do not comply with the ruling of the club in article 32, will not be allowed access to the parking zones.


On weekdays, the exterior Sur-B car park (closest to the Metro) is used as a park and ride facility. The exterior West car park is free of charge except for match days and during events with people attending the stadium.


Recommendations:


Large objects such as strollers for babies, suitcases or any other type of object that could create an obstacle to for access or evacuation routes, are prohibited. We have a baggage drop service for you so that your experience at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano is more comfortable. Furthermore, bringing objectives heavier than 500g is prohibited. This includes objects such as bottled drinks, solid foods or their containers.
