The sporting successes achieved by our team during this year that’s about to close are hand in hand with the social mass increase experienced by the club during the 2013-14 season.

If 14 months ago Rodrigo Arocena - a young six-year-old Atlético - became the 60,000th member, and little more than a month ago we welcomed Marta Cuarental with the 65,000th membership card, now the Atlético family ends the year with 66.648 members, a Club’s record. 

The red and white Atlético tide grows in Spain, with members in all provinces, and spans 20 countries spread across different continents. Of those almost 66.648 that currently are members - which represents an eight per cent increase on the last campaign that closed with 61.720 affiliated supporters - 43.973 are subscribers and 22.675 are non season pass members.

THE CHALLENGE OF THE 70,000
But our objective is to grow and make our family bigger and stronger. The challenge now is to reach 70,000 members, so we’ve now opened the renewal process for the 2014-15 season.

And the answer is excellent. In just one week we’ve received 1,500 requests to obtain a pass for the new season. And on the admission of new non season pass members we’ve registered more than 200 admissions in the last 24 hours.
