Diego Forlán will feature on the Atlético de Madrid membership card for the 2025/26 season
This season’s membership card will proudly display the image of this iconic Atlético legend, continuing the tradition of recent campaigns which have paid tribute to greats such as Gárate, Luis Aragonés, Adelardo, Futre, Collar, and Torres.
Our 2025/26 membership card pays tribute to red & white legend Diego Forlán. All members — both season ticket holders and non-season ticket holders — will have the image of the Uruguayan striker featured on their membership card, in honour of one of the greatest players in our club’s history.
Born on 19 May 1979 in Montevideo, Uruguay, ‘Cacha’ made 198 competitive appearances for the club between 2007 and 2011, scoring 96 goals and providing 31 assists. Winner of both the Golden Boot and the Pichichi Trophy in the 2008/09 season — in which he netted 32 goals in LaLiga — his goal-scoring instinct, elegant playing style, and professionalism earned him the everlasting affection of the Atlético faithful.
The following season, Forlán played a decisive role in our Europa League triumph, scoring both goals in the final against Fulham. That victory allowed us to compete for — and win — the 2010 UEFA Super Cup, marking his second major trophy with the club.
