Simeone matches Luis Aragonés’ all-time LaLiga wins record as a head coach
Our head coach reaches 344 league victories following the win over Levante, drawing level with Luis Aragonés as the manager with the most wins in the competition’s history.
Diego Pablo Simeone recorded his 344th LaLiga victory this Saturday against Levante, matching the historic record set by our legendary Luis Aragonés.
Simeone has reached this milestone after taking charge of 565 league matches. The figure reflects the scale of our coach’s achievements and his impact on Spanish football.
At Atleti, Simeone had already surpassed Luis Aragonés’ record across all competitions. The Argentine has recorded 479 wins in 813 official matches, while the Madrid-born coach secured 308 victories in 612 games.
Furthermore, Simeone has won eight trophies at the helm of our club, two more than Luis Aragonés. With this latest milestone, the Argentine coach has written another chapter in the history of Atleti and LaLiga.
