Diego Costa: "I’m very happy to have played for Atlético de Madrid again"
Nearly four years later, Diego Costa defended Atlético de Madrid's colours once again.
Diego Costa spoke to the press, after his first match for Atlético de Madrid since 2014.
“I’m very happy to have played for Atlético de Madrid again,” he said. “This was very important for me and I’m very happy.”
Costa came on in the 65th minute and after just five minutes, scored the 0-3.
“I can’t ask for more in this second debut for Atlético,” he said. “I got to play and I was lucky enough to score. This makes me even happier.”
As he scored, Costa suffered an injury in his right knee. During Thursday’s training session, the medical staff will determine if it's necessary for the striker to undergo medical exams.
