Looking for another win against Valladolid
Following our 2-1 victory at the Sánchez-Pizjuán against Sevilla, we’ll host Valladolid on Monday 14 April at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano (21:00 CEST) to close out Matchday 31 of LaLiga EA Sports.
Just eight games remain in LaLiga EA Sports, and this is when the standings are truly decided. Last matchday was a productive one for us. After Saturday’s results, and our win in Seville (2-1) thanks to a penalty from Julián Álvarez and a stoppage-time goal from Barrios, the team has closed the gap and now sits three points behind Real Madrid and seven behind Barcelona. The goal is clear: to keep winning, starting with this clash against Valladolid just before Easter.
Valladolid are going through a tough spell, having lost their last 4 LaLiga EA Sports matches. However, given what’s at stake, they’ll come to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano looking to snatch at least a point. Currently bottom of the table, their chances of survival are slipping away.
Atlético de Madrid kicked off April in LaLiga with a key win in Seville, putting a difficult March behind them; a month that brought poor results but not poor performances, as we competed strongly in both the Champions League and LaLiga. That victory was crucial in pushing us closer to the top spots, and on Matchday 31, with our rivals playing over the weekend and before Monday’s game, we’ll go into the match knowing their results.
