The draw held in Nyon has paired us with the Belgian side in a tie that we will complete with the second leg at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

Atlético de Madrid will face Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League play-off tie. The matchup against the Belgian side was determined by the draw held this morning in Nyon, Switzerland. The first leg will be played at the Jan Breydel Stadium, with the return leg at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

We have faced the team currently coached by Ivan Leko a total of eight times. The meetings between our club and the Belgian side have ended with three wins for Atlético, two draws and three defeats.

The last time we faced Club Brugge, in October 2022, the match ended in a goalless draw. Our most recent victory against the Belgian side came on October 3, 2018: a 3–1 win with two goals from Griezmann and one from Koke.
