Tiago is back training with the rest of the team
The reappearance of the Portuguese midfielder was the big news on a day marked by international absences.
Atletico Madrid held the first training session of the week after the day of rest after a win over Osasuna. A training marked by the absence of the 8 international players from the first team and the reappearance of Tiago, who was working with the group as he completes his rehabilitation.
Juanfran, Adrian, Gabi, Cisma, Pulido, Cata Diaz, Insua, Asenjo, Raul Garcia, Tiago and Mario Suarez were the first team players who exercised under the command of Diego Pablo Simeone. Miranda did not go out with the group at Cerro del Espino as a precaution due to problems in his left ankle. Thomas, Atletico B, and Dani Marquez Atletico C, joined the session.
The first part of the training was marked by physical work under the orders of Carlos Menendez. That was followed up by ball work focussing on control and touch before proceeding to tactical work on different lines, defense, midfield and attack.
Diego Pablo Simeone summoned players from B, Borja Galan, Angel Perez, Ruben, Ndoye, Fran Sanchez and Cenk to take part in a game in limited space with no goalkeepers in order to work on the pressure and speed of the game.
After the intense exercise, the coaching staff organized a three-team triangular game. The team in white bibs was made up of: Insua, Gabi, Adrian, Mario Suarez, Dani, Cata Diaz and Marquez. The green team was comprised of: Cisma, Thomas, Borja Galan, Raul Garcia, Tiago and Pulido. The final team was made up by: Ivo, David Gomez, Ndoye, Cenk, Fran Sanchez and Ruben.
After the session the players stretched to round of a hour and 45 minutes session that was attended by Ujfalusi who visited his former teammates.
