21/22 Third Kit available now
Our third kit for the upcoming season is now available. It pays tribute to the Vicente Calderón stadium – our home for over 50 years.
This season we’re celebrating the 75th anniversary of our current name – Club Atlético de Madrid. We want to pay tribute to such an important moment in our club’s history through the four kits we will wear the upcoming season. These are inspired by some unforgettable moments the Atlético fans have enjoyed during these 75 years.
Many of these historic moments took place at the Vicente Calderón stadium – our home for over 50 years. It was inaugurated on Oct. 2, 1966 in a game against Valencia, during which Luis Aragonés scored the first goal of the stadium's history. The last match was played on May 21, 2017. Atleti beat Athletic Club 3-1 as Fernando Torres netted a brace and Ángel Correa scored a goal. During those 51 years, we won 19 titles and enjoyed countless magical nights.
With a round neck, the jersey pays tribute to our former home through the colors of its seats: blue, red and white. The kit is constructed with 100% recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. This helps deliver peak performance with a lower impact on the environment.
The Atleti fans can now purchase the brand new Third Kit at our online and Madrid stores, as well as through our Private Members’ Store.
The 21/22 Home Kit, inspired by details from the first Red & White jersey worn by our players under the name Club Atlético de Madrid in 1947, has also been on sale since July 5. The Away Kit – which pays tribute to the Double-winning 95/96 season – is also available.
Our Alternative Kit will also be available soon. It’s inspired by the 1974 European Cup semi-final against Celtic in Glasgow and the 1985 Copa del Rey final against Athletic Club. Remember that you can be the first to know when the kit is released by hitting the ‘Notify Me’ button.
