The team wore black armbands
Atletico Madrid wore black armbands in mourning of the tragic train accident in Santiago de Compostela. In addition, before the game, the two teams formed in the center of the field for a minute of silence for the victims.
The tragic train accident happened this week in Santiago de Compostela, killing 78 people. They were remembered in the game between our team and Estudiantes in the Estadio Unico de La Plata. The players took to the field with a black armband on the left arm in mourning remembering the victims.
