The locker room, satisfied after the win against Córdoba
The red and white players were happy after the win against the Andalucian team.
Saúl Ñíguez scored the second of the goals achieved by our team in Córdoba: "We know that there are nine finals left, that we have to play match-by-match and not think about anyone else. We know that if we win every game we can achieve the objective. It has been a good win for us, which we needed."
José María Giménez played a good match once again. He was, along with Godín, a wall in the heart of the backline. The Uruguayan noted that "It was not an easy match. It was hard because of the heat and because we played as the visiting team in a complicated field. The team got their heads into the game from the first second and we scored that early goal that helped us manage the game. Then, in a textbook play of the coach the second goal arrived and that reassured us, not absolutely, but enough to deal with what was left of the game."
