The first derby of the season ended in a hard-earned draw. Atlético de Madrid couldn't snag the three points in Estado Butarque, after a great defensive display from the Leganés players.

In his pre match press conference, Diego Pablo Simeone said Leganés was going to be hard to beat. His words proved to be correct and Leganés defended brilliantly.

Saúl and Diego Godín nearly scored for Atleti, but Cuéllar made two great saves. On the other hand, Jan Oblak was brilliant and made three key saves to help Atleti keep the point.
