The European Club Association joins Spanish clubs for a meeting in Madrid
The event was chaired by the President of the European Club Association (ECA), Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, alongside our CEO and member of the ECA Executive Committee, Miguel Ángel Gil.
The meeting was held this morning with the European Club Association (ECA) being represented by its president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, and Executive Committee members Miguel Ángel Gil, Jokin Aperribay and Juan Jose Sartori, together with the representation of 19 Spanish football clubs.
The purpose of this gathering was to forge a collaborative bond between the ECA and the Spanish clubs as well as to confirm the commitment of all parties to the further improvement of our sport within the wider framework of European football.
Likewise, the role of the ECA in boosting cross-border synergies between countries and supporting initiatives for Spanish clubs to enhance their sustainable development, progress and competitiveness has also been stressed in such an encounter.
