Simeone: “We’re becoming more of a team every day”
Our coach, Morata, Herrera and Correa spoke following Sunday’s 3-1 win over Espanyol.
Simeone praised our team’s improvement and consistency following Sunday's 3-1 win over Espanyol.
“Today we improved over the course of 90 minutes. We defended well and their goal made us stronger. We found consistency in this game, which is what we lacked in other matches. We’re becoming more of a team every day,” the Argentine said.
Morata spoke about the importance of Sunday’s win.
“Today we won and earned three important points to stay in the title race. We were motivated and wanted a win, and that’s what we got,” the Spaniard said.
Héctor Herrera also spoke about the game.
“The most important thing is its strength and unity, as well as the support from our fans. If we stay together, we can achieve important things,” the Mexican said.
Correa claimed to be happy with the way things were going.
“I’m very happy with my current form when it helps the team to win. That’s what us players work for. I hope to continue in the same way,” our forward said.
