Simeone: “We will be up against a great team"
Our coach and Mario Hermoso spoke on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen.
Simeone on Tuesday previewed our upcoming Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen.
“Bayer Leverkusen play very well. The stats show it. They’re the team with the highest possession in the Bundesliga and move the ball around very fast. We will need to take the game in the direction we want it to go, but we will be up against a great opponent,” the Argentine said.
Mario Hermoso also spoke ahead of the match.
“We take this game as if it were a final and want to play well. The team is united, we know what we have to do and what our goals are,” the Spaniard said.
Our defender also spoke about life at our club.
“Atleti as a club have been working very well for many years. They’ve grown so much and it’s not easy for new players to settle in at a new club, but my teammates and coaching staff have helped us a lot,” Mario Hermoso said.
