Diego Pablo Simeone: "We played a great match"
Our coach analyzed our great win against Lokomotiv Moscow.
After our convincing 3-0 win against Lokomotiv Moscow, Diego Pablo Simeone analyzed our win.
"We were superior during the whole match. In the first half we weren't set up well enough to respond to some of their counters," he said. "in the second half, we were more calm and our football was more continuous."
Axel Werner made his official debut for our club in tonight's match and kept a clean sheet. Our boss was proud of the 22 year old's performance.
"He's a young goalkeeper and he transmits confidence, even though they didn't take many shots," he said. "We trust him. He's a goalkeeper with a good present and an even better future."
Our coach is happy with the win and the way the lads played.
"We knew they played with a certain style of play, but we played a great match," he said. "We didn't let them play the way they wanted to."
