On Wednesday 12 February, we will find out our opponent for the Copa del Rey Semi-Final.
Following the conclusion of the Copa del Rey Quarter-Final, the draw for the tournament's Semi-Finals will take place on Wednesday 12 February at 13:00 CET at La Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas.
Atlético de Madrid were the first side into the draw for the Semi-Final of the Copa del Rey after beating Getafe at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, last Tuesday, in a brilliant 5-0 win, thanks to goals from Giuliano Simeone (2), Samuel Lino, Correa and Sorloth. The second side to book their spot were Real Madrid, after they beat Leganés at the Butarque (2-3). Real Sociedad advanced to the next round following their win against Osasuna at the Reale Arena (2-0). Barcelona were the final team through as they beat Valencia at the Mestalla (0-5).
The Semi-Final stage will be the only stage in the Copa del Rey which is played over two legs, the side who are drawn out of the hat first will play the first-leg at home and the second-leg away from home. Notably, of the four teams who qualified for the Semi-Finals last year, Atlético de Madrid and Real Sociedad are the two sides to have qualified again this year.
