Atlético’s coach said that "I must interpret that the team comes out very strong and settles the game like that. Today’s second half was played better, with better ball game, with better possessions to keep the game going. The team found the goal and at least today we could hold the ball much better."

Regarding Fernando Torres, he commented that "I see him well, working on what the team needs, continually forcing the defenders and that makes us work better in the midfield. And he also gives Griezmann a lot of freedom because defenders have all their attention on him. As to what has changed, he is not the same player as when we played together. He was 19 years old and now he is 30. Now he is a much more rounded player than then."

As to the team received one goal in the last 7 games he commented that "For sure, being strong defensively has been our structure of these years. Going back to being strong defensively speaks highly of all the staff, of the whole group. Because it is not only the defence, because it starts from the forwards and the better the forwards work, the better the defensive work is. Let's see if we can continue on this line that is hard in the face of so much competition."
