Diego Pablo Simeone presented his book 'Believe. The challenge of always outdoing yourself' in the VIP lounge of the Vicente Calderón Stadium. The event was attended by Enrique Cerezo, José Luis Pérez Caminero, Juan Vizcaíno, Paul Vercellone and former players of our club.
Enrique Cerezo was responsible for opening the event with a few words for Simeone: "The way of understanding the life of Diego is identified with many of the values of our institution. Phrases such as "effort is non-negotiable," "every minute is a life," "belonging is essential" or "if you believe and you work, you can" are already heritage of the entire Atlético family. Our coach knows better than anyone that you always have to believe in the values of our club, both in the victories and in the defeats."
Then, Diego Pablo Simeone took the floor and recounted some of the anecdotes from the book: "The title relates to my way of living. I believe in work, in love, my friends, my family… I am a guy who really believes in the day to day. The word that sums up my life is believing. That is how this book was born, as it tells my experiences in the game transferred to life. It is a fun book."
In addition, Simeone was very excited with the move to the new stadium: "I’m very happy here. Next year we will have a beautiful stadium.”
