Simeone: "It was a tough, tactical game"

Our coach, Koke and Savic analysed the game against Barcelona.

Simeone said that our team needed a bit more luck to maintain the lead in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Barcelona.

"It was a tough, tactic game in which neither team had many chances to score. We had one in a play between Griezmann and Costa in the second half, but the truth is that there weren't counter-attacks to take advantage of the spaces or possession to hurt us in small spaces. It was a game of details. Details matter in a game between two big teams. We took the lead and in the end we needed a bit more luck for that ball not to go between Oblak and Lucas' legs," Simeone said.

Koke claimed that the draw was a fair result.

"I think it was a tied game. Barcelona defended very, very well and they controlled the ball, but we were comfortable without it. There are games in which you have the ball more than in others, but I think that the draw is fair," the Spaniard said.

Savic said that he was enjoying how tight this year's LaLiga was.

"I think LaLiga is very interesting this year and I hope it stays like this in the coming years, because the other teams can beat you. There's a long way to go, and in just two games you can become top of the league or seventh or eighth, that's why we have to keep working and win the game we have ahead," Savic said.
