Simeone is already the coach with the most games in LaLiga's history in charge of a single club.
This Saturday, our coach beat a record that had not been broken for 49 years, surpassing now the 424 matches of Miguel Muñoz.
In a Saturday of records for Simeone, he not only equalled Luis Aragones as the coach who has coached us the most times in our history (612), but also became the coach who has coached the most official matches ever at the same club in the First Division, surpassing the 424 of Miguel Muñoz.
A record that had stood for 49 years, the time that has passed since Miguel Muñoz coached his last game in charge of Real Madrid in the 1973/74 campaign.
Since Simeone's debut at La Rosaleda on 7 January 2012, only 16% of his league games have ended in defeat and in each and every one of the ten seasons that he has coached us to date, our team has always finished on the podium in LaLiga. This includes two brilliant wins in the regularity tournament, achieved in the 2013/14 and 2020/21 seasons.
On both occasions, we were also the lowest-scoring team in the competition, a milestone we have reached seven times under the Argentine coach.
Likewise, Simeone is the active coach with the most consecutive years sitting on the same bench in European football and the tenth of all time in the old continent.
