FOLLOWING HIS APPEARANCE AGAINST BAYERN

Koke makes his 750th appearance for Atlético

Our captain continues to reach increasingly historic milestones at the start of his 18th season.

By featuring in Tuesday's clash against Bayern, Jorge Resurrección ‘Koke’ made his 750th appearance as an Atlético de Madrid player, with his legend continuing to grow season after season. It is another milestone in the remarkable career of our captain, who continues to reach unprecedented landmarks in Atlético history that will stand for many years to come.

The player who has worn our shirt on the most occasions, he now has almost 200 more appearances than two of our club's greatest legend: Jan Oblak and Adelardo Rodríguez, who are second on the list with 553 games both. This season, he has also surpassed Adelardo as the Atlético player to have represented the club across the most seasons (18, compared with the Badajoz-born midfielder's 17). And that is not the only milestone he has reached at the start of this campaign.

A product of our Academy who made his first-team debut on 19 September 2009, last September he became the player with the tenth-most appearances in LaLiga, and the player with the eighth-most appearances for a single European club. He also became the Rojiblanco to have won the most Madrid derbies against Real Madrid (14) across all competitions. Furthermore, no player has featured in more derbies than him (46) in the history of the two clubs, a record he claimed in January 2026.

With 50 goals and 122 assists for the club to date, Koke is the Atlético player with the most international appearances for Spain (70). His honours list includes two LaLiga titles (2013/14 and 2020/21), one Copa del Rey (2012/13), one Spanish Super Cup (2014), two UEFA Europa League titles (2011/12 and 2017/18) and two UEFA Super Cups (2012 and 2018). These achievements make him the player with the second-most trophies in club history with eight titles, level with Diego Godín, and behind only Adelardo, who won ten.

It is a true privilege to continue sharing this journey with you, ‘capi’!
