Our players shine and score for their countries
Atlético de Madrid's internationals have been putting in some excellent performances for their national teams over the past few weeks.
Our first-team players have been enjoying an impressive international break with their respective national teams.
Jan Oblak has kept two clean sheets in the two matches he has played for Slovenia so far, first against Scotland and then against North Macedonia.
Álex Baena has been in outstanding form, registering one goal and two assists so far. His goal and first assist came during Spain's comeback against England at Wembley, while he provided his second assist in Seville during the 4-1 victory over Croatia.
In that same match at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, Marc Pubill scored his first international goal, having also started in the victory in London.
Meanwhile, Jonathan David continued his goalscoring run - having already scored three goals in his first three league appearances as a rojiblanco - by scoring the only goal in Canada's victory over Chile.
Kang In Lee also impressed in South Korea's match against Uruguay, providing the assist for his team's only goal.
Dávid Hancko has played both of Slovakia's matches so far. In the second, he also scored the winning goal against Kazakhstan.
Finally, Cristian Romero captained Argentina for the first time and scored in their 4-0 victory over Bolivia.
