More than 17,000 Atléticos have celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Calderón
The red and white fans enjoyed an unforgettable weekend celebrating the 50th anniversary of our stadium and our team’s win against Valencia.
This weekend, our stadium has turned 50 and it has been special for all the Atléticos. Around 17,100 red and white fans came by the Vicente Calderón to enjoy the commemorative events. On Saturday, around 5,200 red and white fans went to the Open Day where they enjoyed visiting the most emblematic places of our stadium: the stands, the benches, the tunnel to the dressing rooms, the press room, the dressing rooms, the Presidential Box and the VIP lounge.
In addition to being able to enjoy the visit to the facilities of the stadium, the fans were also able to watch our team’s win against Valencia on giant screens that were installed in front of the stands. During the break, the fans honoured the veteran players of Atlético of the first match played in our stadium. Close to 11,900 visited the Vicente Calderón on the day of its birthday.
