Menayo levels with Amanda Sampedro as Atlético de Madrid Femenino’s second-highest appearance maker

Carmen Menayo joined Atlético de Madrid from Santa Teresa on 5 July 2016 at the age of 18. She has since spent eight seasons in an Atlético shirt, and made her 202nd competitive appearance in the Liga F Matchday 30 clash with Villarreal. The versatile defender has levelled with Amanda Sampedro as the player with the second-most appearances in an Atlético de Madrid shirt, behind only Silvia Meseguer (205 matches).
So far, Menayo has featured in 168 matches in the Liga F, 20 in the Copa de la Reina, ten in the UWCL and four in the Supercopa de España, winning three league titles (2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19), the 2021 Supercopa de España and the 2023 Copa de la Reina.
