Koke makes 500th Atleti appearance
Our captain reached the extraordinary milestone during Wednesday’s game against Real Sociedad.
Koke made his 500th Atleti appearance during Wednesday’s LaLiga match against Real Sociedad.
The midfielder joined our Academy in the year 2000 and made his first team debut on Sep. 19, 2009. Earlier this year, he equalled Tomás Reñones as the second player with the most appearances in our club’s history (483). Now, only Adelardo Rodríguez (553) remains ahead of our captain.
The 29-year-old has made 351 appearances in LaLiga, 39 in the Copa del Rey, 73 in the Champions League, 29 in the Europa League, two in the UEFA Super Cup and five in the Spanish Super Cup – netting 46 goals in the process. Moreover, the midfielder has won LaLiga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, Europa League (2) and UEFA Super Cup (2).
