Koke equals Adelardo as the player with most games in our history
The homegrown player has equalled Adelardo Rodríguez, an Atleti legend, as the player who has worn our jersey the most times in our history.
Koke continues to write chapters in the history of our club. The Red & White captain, in the derby against Real Madrid played this Sunday at the Cívitas Metropolitano, reached a whole Red & White legend as Adelardo Rodríguez as the player who has defended our jersey the most times in an official match, with a total of 553.
The '6' has been part of Atleti since he was 6 years old. He is a player who has been trained throughout his career in our Academy and has become the emblem of the children of the lower categories.
One day after this achievement, but 13 years earlier, in 2009, he made his debut with the first team in the FC Barcelona-Atletico de Madrid played at Camp Nou and since 2010 he is part of the first team. Koke is a full international with the Spanish national team and has won eight important titles with our club: a Copa del Rey (2013), two LaLiga titles (2013/14 and 2020/21), a Spanish Super Cup (2014), two European Super Cups (2012 and 2018) and two UEFA Europa League titles (2012 and 2018).
