Koke becomes the tenth player with the most appearances in LaLiga history
The midfielder made his 524th LaLiga appearance at Anoeta on Sunday.
Jorge Resurrección 'Koke' is now the player with the tenth most appearances in the history of the Spanish top flight. With his appearance against Real Sociedad at Anoeta on Sunday, our captain overtook Manolo Sanchís and now has 524 LaLiga appearances to his name.
Only Andoni Zubizarreta (622), Joaquín Sánchez (622), Raúl García (609), Antoine Griezmann (564), Dani Parejo (558), Raúl González (550), Eusebio Sacristán (543), Paco Buyo (542) and Sergio Ramos (536) now stand ahead of him.
Our captain, who joined our Academy at the age of just eight in 2000, made his first-team debut on 19 September 2009 in a match against FC Barcelona. Since then, he has made 524 league appearances, scoring 40 goals and providing 94 assists. He has also become the player to have worn the Rojiblancos shirt more than anyone else in the club's history, with 746 competitive appearances.
