João Felix will represent our club in the EA SPORTS FIFA20 #StayAndPlay Cup, a solidarity tournament organised by our sponsor EA SPORTS in which 20 European clubs will participate, each represented by one of their professional footballers.
The competition will kick off on Wednesday, April 15 with a preliminary round involving eight teams. Our striker will make his debut in the last 16 against Olympique Lyonnais - represented by Bruno Guimarães - on Friday, April 17, at 6.45 pm CET. If the Portuguese player qualifies, he will face Manchester City, PSV Eindhoven or AIK in the quarter-finals.
As part of the tournament, EA will donate $1 million to GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund and will provide ways for fans and spectators to also donate and help in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
In addition, fans will be able to follow all games through the EA SPORTS FIFA Twitch channel, and if they link their Twitch and EA accounts, they will also be eligible for some FUT 20 rewards with Twitch Drops.
In addition to our club, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur (England), Olympique Lyonnais, Marseille and PSG (France), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Real Madrid and Valencia (Spain), FC Porto (Portugal), AS Roma (Italy), Ajax and PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands), AIK and Djurgården (Sweden), HJK Helsinki (Finland) and FC Copenhagen and Brondby (Denmark) will also participate in the tournament.
