SIMEONE WARNED THAT PORTO COME TO WIN AT ALL COSTS

"It will be a tough match"

Diego Pablo Simeone spoke in the press room before the Champions League match against Porto. Convinced that the Portuguese will go for victory, the Argentine predicted a tough game with the same options for both teams.

Simeone said the Champions League is "very nice" and "more competitive than the league ". "The Champions League is very nice. For us it is a new experience. It is much more competitive than La Liga. There are many teams that can win the Champions League if we see who has won the league in recent years we see that Barcelona and Real Madrid always win. The Champions winner is always changing and that means that it is anything but a boring competition."

Guilavogui has spent this week in cotton because of some discomfort in the psoas. The Atletico coach will wait until the end of training to find out which players will participate tomorrow in the clash and who will not. "we’re going to see now how the players are. Koke is possible in midfield and did very well at the Sant Andreu and Tiago also so we'll see which one plays tomorrow."

Pearls of the academy Óliver Torres and Javier Manquillo are growing rapidly. Simeone confessed that "they have a great future ahead " but he is concerned about the "present reality " and requires that both players "give their all" as they are doing so far. "They are in a period of growth. They are guys that we have confidence in because they will be important players. We live in the reality of the present, the future is huge but now is very important. The other day Manquillo had a very good game and I'm still waiting for more from Oliver, because must demand more from the big players.”

Porto come and will give everything for the victory that will allow them to continue with options of getting into the next round. Diego Pablo Simeone ended the press conference admitting that "every opponent we face we have the same possibilities. Tomorrow is a game in which the team that plays better and with more intensity will win."
