Hermoso, Memphis and Paulista are no longer part of the Rojiblancos team
The club would like to express its sincere gratitude to the footballers for their commitment and efforts during their spell at our club and wishes them all the best of luck for the future.
Mario Hermoso, Memphis Depay and Gabriel Paulista will be facing a new professional stage from next season and will not continue playing in the red and white colours.
The Madrid defender is leaving our club after five campaigns in which he played 174 official outings and scored 10 goals, occupying the positions of left-back and centre-back, and being a key player 2020/21 league title triumph.
As for the Dutch striker, he arrived at our club in January 2023 and as an Atlético player, he made 40 official appearances and managed to score 13 goals. Among them, there are some that will remain forever in the memory of the supporters, such as the goal he netted against Inter in the round of 16 of the last Champions League campaign or the stunning effort against Granada in the first matchday of LaLiga 2023/24.
Lastly, the Brazilian centre-back reinforced our rearguard in the last winter transfer window, taking part in five caps and bringing his experience to the dressing room in the closing stages of the season.
We, at Atlético de Madrid, thank all of them for their commitment and hard work during their time in our club and we would like to wish them all the best of luck in their next professional and personal endeavours.
Likewise, Víctor Machín 'Vitolo', who was not part of the our squad during the 2023/24 campaign, has ended his deal with our club on 30 June and we also wish him the best of fortune in his upcoming adventure.
