A showdown to reach the Copa del Rey Final!

On Wednesday 2 April at 21:30 CEST, our team will fight for a place in the Copa del Rey final, which will take place in Seville on 26 April.

With everything perfectly balanced after the thrilling 4-4 draw in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals on Monday 25 February, our team and FC Barcelona will face off again this Wednesday 2 April at 21:30 CEST at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. With the passionate support of our fans, we will battle to book our place in the final.

This marks the eighth time in history that the "Rojiblancos" and "Azulgranas" clash at this stage of the competition. The two most recent occasions fell in our favour, as our team eliminated the Catalan side on the road to the 1991 title and the 2000 runner-up finish.

This time round, the second leg follows the aforementioned spectacular 4-4 draw at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys, where a late goal from Sørloth—similar to two months earlier in LaLiga—sealed the result of a match that was initially opened by Julián Álvarez. With two semifinal second-leg matches yet to be played, in addition to the final, the Argentine forward is the current top scorer in this season’s Copa del Rey, with his five goals leading the scoring charts ahead of Barcelona’s Ferran Torres and Sørloth, who, among other players, have four goals to their name.

On their way to the semifinals, Diego Simeone’s side defeated UE Vic (2-0), Cacereño (3-1), Marbella FC (1-0), Elche CF (4-0) and Getafe (5-0). Meanwhile, Flick’s men overcame Barbastro (4-0), Betis (5-1), and Valencia (5-0).
