Antonio López Habas now has his latest addition, the Portuguese striker Hélder Postiga, the star signing of the season in which Atlético de Kolkata will defend the champion title of the Indian Super League (ISL), conquered last December.
Hélder Postiga completes a team which also has players like the Spanish Borja Fernandez, Javi Lara, Calatayud, Tiri, Valdo and Gavilán, the South African Doutie or the Scotsman with Canadian passport Iain Hume, who comes from Kerala Blasters, runner-up of the ISL.
Postiga is a striker with an extensive sporting career. He left Porto, club in which he played in three stages, being League champion three times, won one Portuguese Cup and three Portuguese Super Cups, in addition to a UEFA Cup and the Intercontinental Cup. He has also played in the English Tottenham Hotspur, the French Saint-Étienne, the Greek Panathinaikos, the Italian Lazio, the Portuguese Sporting of Lisbon and three Spanish clubs, Zaragoza, Valencia and Deportivo. In addition, he is an international for the Portuguese national team, with which he has played 71 matches.
