Giménez suffers injury to the gastrocnemius muscle
The Uruguayan is pending clinical evolution. He will be replaced in the squad list by Toni Moya, who travelled to Belgium on Tuesday morning.
José María Giménez underwent an NMR scan in Bruges on Tuesday morning. The Uruguayan has a severe contusion in his left leg that has caused a fibrillar injury to the gastrocnemius muscle. Our defender suffered the bruise during Monday's training session, which he subsequently was forced to quit. Giménez is pending clinical evolution, and was replaced in the squad list by Toni Moya, who joined the rest of the team in Belgium on Tuesday morning.
