Gabi: "I'm proud to wear this shirt and defend its colours, as it deserves"
The captain, along with Raúl García and Tiago, appeared at the press conference prior to the Champions League final, in which they emphasized the unity and the strength of the group.
Gabi began his appearance by pointing out that Saturday’s fixture is of the greatest importance in the history of Atlético. "It's the most important match in the history of Atlético Madrid. I'm proud to wear this shirt and defend these colours, as it deserves. We’ll give our all", he said.
Raúl García pointed out that the team is aware "Of the level where we are at right now, playing a Champions final is a dream that you have since you start playing football. We know of its importance and because of that, we’re going to play with all our will to win the title".
Lastly, Tiago began his appearance by stating, "We are very confident because we have a very strong identity, our team has shown that it knows what to do in every game and nothing will change tomorrow. We’ll be strong, we’ll be the Atlético de Madrid we’ve always been. Our team won’t fail, it will be present. We have to face a great team, but our match will be the same as any other", they concluded.
