We travel to Anoeta to face Real Sociedad
This Sunday at 21:00 CEST, we travel to San Sebastián for Matchday 5 of LALIGA EA SPORTS, where we will face Pellegrino Matarazzo's side.
Following our Champions League debut against Liverpool at Anfield last Wednesday, our team travel to Gipuzkoa to take on Real Sociedad in the fifth matchday of the league campaign. We head into this fixture after suffering defeat to the English side at their home ground (2-1, with Llorente scoring our goal) and losing to Athletic Club at San Mamés last weekend (3-0 to the Bilbao-based side).
Real Sociedad, meanwhile, welcome us to their stadium after travelling to Elche's Martínez Valero during the week. They secured a 3-2 victory against the Franjiverdes, with goals from Sučić, Yangel Herrera and Ochieng, while Jon Martín was sent off.
Our most recent visit to the Estadio de Anoeta ended in a 1-1 draw, with Guedes scoring for the hosts and Alexander Sørloth finding the net for our side. We have faced the Basque club 171 times in official competition, recording 83 wins, 40 draws and 48 defeats.
