Five Atléticos, called for the Copa América

The Brazilian, Uruguayan, and Argentinian national teams have called five of our players to compete in the Copa América Centennial, which will be played in the United States in its 2016 edition.

The Brazilian, Uruguayan, and Argentinian national teams have called Filipe Luis, Diego Godín, José María Giménez, Matías Kranevitter, and Augusto Fernández to play the Copa América Centennial, which will be played in the United States in its 2016 edition. 

Our Uruguayans Diego Godín and José María Giménez will defend the colours of their national team during the Copa América. The two Atléticos both have made it on the final list of the national coach and will play in the group stage against Mexico, Venezuela, and Jamaica. 

Brazil is in Group B along with Haiti, Peru, and Ecuador. Their first match will be on 4th June against Ecuador at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena (California). 

For its part, the Argentinian national team managed by Gerardo Martino, has included in the final list of 23 players the Atlético midfielders Augusto Fernández and Matías Kranevitter. The albiceleste will make its debut on 6th June against the national team of Chile, four days later it will play Panama and the group stage will finish on 14th June against Bolivia.
