Diego Godín has an emergency appendicitis operation
He will remain in Hospital Montepríncipe for three days
Atlético de Madrid player Diego Godín had surgery due to sharp appendicitis on Saturday 30 October at Hospital Montepríncipe in Majadahonda. The laparoscopic operation performed by Doctors José María de Jaime and Ignacio Bodega, which lasted approximately one hour, was successful. Diego Godín will remain at the hospital for three days, until he receives medical clearance.
Godín had been admitted to the emergency room at the aforementioned Hospital at 4:30 am on Saturday morning with sharp abdominal pain, a high fever and leucocytosis. An abdominal scan was performed on the player which diagnosed the appendicitis. The Urguayan will be out for approximately one month.
