Binding vote on the club badge
Dear Member:
At the last meeting of the Social Commission, held on Thursday, June 22 at the Cívitas Metropolitano, its members proposed holding a non-binding consultation to quantify the number of members who thought it would be appropriate for the club to consider reverting to the previous badge. The club accepted the proposal and launched a consultation last weekend for members who were in favor of the club considering this possibility to express their support. 61,021 members, or 44%, requested that the club consider this possibility.
Following the consultation, Miguel Ángel Gil, the club's CEO, addressed the members in an open letter in which he announced that a meeting of the Board of Directors would be convened to propose holding a binding vote in which the members could decide which badge should represent Atlético de Madrid.
The meeting of the Board of Directors took place today, Wednesday, June 28, at the Cívitas Metropolitano and unanimously agreed to hold a binding vote in order to choose between the current badge and the previous one. The same system used in last weekend's consultation will be used for the vote and all club members who were registered before 10am today, June 28, 2023, will be able to participate, accrediting themselves with the credentials they use for their usual formalities.
As was the case last weekend, a notary will record the voting procedure and the results. In addition, the club will invite the members of the social committee to attend the opening of the results.
Voting is now open and will close at 2pm on Friday, 30 June.
All members can participate in this binding vote through this link.
