Atlético Ottawa look to cap off a historic season
Our sister club in Canada will face Forge FC in the final of the Canadian Premier League Playoffs.
After a historic season in which Atlético Ottawa won the CPL regular season championship and overcame Pacific FC in the playoff semi-finals, they now have the opportunity to put the icing on the cake in the final against Forge FC.
The Red & White team, who have home field advantage after finishing top of the league, will be playing at TD Place Stadium, which will be a party to welcome their side in a one-off match. Having won the semi-final against Pacific 3-1 on aggregate, Atlético Ottawa only had to wait to find out their opponent after the second leg of the semi-final.
Forge FC beat Cavalry FC to become the other team in contention for the Canadian Premier League title.
Directed by the Spaniard Carlos González and with two players from our Academy in their ranks, Sergio Camus and Diego Espejo, Atlético Ottawa will be looking for another conquest on Sunday at 11pm in a season to remember.
