Our team, which will play its fifth consecutive Champions League next season, has surpassed FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich in UEFA’s ranking.

Atlético de Madrid starts the 2017/18 season in second place of UEFA’s ranking, which takes into account the results obtained by the continent’s clubs in European competitions during the last five seasons. Hand in hand with the coaching staff led by Diego Pablo Simeone and several squads that are already a part of the history of the entity, the club has risen spectacularly in this ranking. A growth that translates into numbers a historic stage.

After the last update of Europe’s football governing body, our team’s coefficient is of 133.799 points, which has allowed us to surpass FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the ranking. Our scores of the last five seasons are: in the campaign 2013/14 we had 37.600, 26.042 in 2014/15, 32.785 in 2015/16 and 33.028 in 2016/17. In addition, our team starts next season with 4.342 points as it has qualified for the group stage of the Champions League.

The club’s spectacular performance in Europe has continuously improved our position in the ranking from the 2012/13 season, in which we were eleventh. After entering the Top 10 the next season, the club has not stopped growing.
