Atlético de Madrid Femenino are to face Olympique Lyonnais on Aug. 15 in the 2019 Women’s International Champions Cup semi-final. The second edition of the prestigious tournament organised by Relevent Sports will take place between Aug. 15 and Aug. 18.
The other semi-final will see the match-up between North Carolina Courage and Manchester City. WakeMed Soccer Park, which seats 10,000 fans, will host all of the tournament’s games.
Atlético de Madrid Femenino captain Amanda Sampedro spoke about the ICC’s importance.
“It’s an honour for us to be able to play this tournament with the best teams in the world. It will be a great experience that will allow us to start the season in the best possible way,” our midfielder said.
