Atleti Femenino lift the Sela Cup against Newcastle
Goals from Vilde Bøe Risa in the 19th minute and debutant Macarena Portales in the 45th gave our team victory in their first pre-season friendly.
A 2-0 win over Newcastle United in Atlético de Madrid Femenino’s opening match of pre-season saw us claim the 2025 Sela Cup. Vilde Bøe Risa opened the scoring in the 19th minute, before Macarena Portales doubled the lead in the 45th for Víctor Martín’s side, who will next week take part in the Women’s Cup in Milan. In Italy, we will face Inter in the semi-finals of a tournament that also features Juventus and Como Women.
