Atleti Femenino gear up for Spanish Super Cup
Our women’s team face FC Barcelona in the competition’s semi-final at 8 pm CET on Thursday.
The first-ever edition of the Spanish Super Cup is here as Atlético de Madrid Femenino gear up to face FC Barcelona in the competition’s semi-final. The game is to be played at 8 pm CET on Thursday at Salamanca’s Helmántico stadium. The tournament follows a Final Four format, with Real Sociedad having beaten Levante 1-0 in the other semi-final clash. Our team won the league, Real Sociedad the cup, and FC Barcelona and Levante qualified for the competition thanks to their second and third-place finish.
It will be the third time we face the Catalan side this season, after we lost the first game in Barcelona and drew the second at the Wanda Alcalá de Henares Training Complex. Now, the city of Salamanca will host a new battle with a trophy on the horizon.
Dani González's side earned a 3-0 away win at Logroño on Sunday, whereas FC Barcelona beat Sevilla 3-0 at home in their last match. A thrilling clash between two top sides awaits!
