Atlético de Madrid Femenino earned a historic qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarterfinals after knocking out Manchester City on Wednesday. It’s the first time that our women’s team gets past the European competition’s round of 16.
Pablo López Salgado's side secured qualification thanks to a 2-1 win at the Wanda Alcalá de Henares Training Complex. Ludmila and Sosa were the goalscorers. In the first leg, our women’s team earned a 1-1 draw in Manchester thanks to a late goal from Charlyn.
