Saturday’s key LaLiga match ended 0-0 as Atleti and FC Barcelona drew at the Camp Nou.

Lemar had the first attempt on target following an aggressive start from our team, but his strike was saved by ter Stegen. Unfortunately, the Frenchman was forced to leave the pitch early on through injury and was replaced by Saúl. Chances for Suárez and Correa followed, as the first was saved by the keeper and the second was stopped miraculously by Lenglet. Atleti completed a sensational first half, collecting many chances that were saved in style by ter Stegen. Several of our attempts were from Carrasco, who was excellent down the left wing. The hosts had one good chance through Messi – but Oblak answered with a great save. The performances from both goalkeepers meant we reached half-time with the score at 0-0, as a stoppage time close-range volley from Felipe flew over the crossbar.

Simeone’s men kept pushing after the break. However, Barcelona improved in the second half and started to put pressure on our defence. Our coach’s first change was bringing Joao Félix on for Saúl. Simeone made another switch with around 20’ to go as Correa made way for Kondogbia. Both sides tried their luck as the players began to feel the fatigue of the demanding match. Messi had a free-kick on the edge of the box in the 89th minute and Atleti has a counterattack and a corner in the 93rd, but neither side could convert and the match ultimately ended 0-0.
