Atleti beat Manchester City and qualify for the round of 16 of the Women’s Champions League thanks to Meseguer and Ludmila’s goals.
After a draw at the Ciudad Deportiva Wanda Atlético de Madrid on 13 September, our girls have been classified for the round of 16 of the Women's Champions League after beating Manchester City 0-2 thanks to Meseguer and Ludmila’s goals.
The match started off intensely and both teams were disputing possession, but in the 4th minute Meseguer, thanks to Ludmila’s pass, opened the scoredboard. Right in the final of the first half, Ludmila scored the second goal for the Atlético.
Manchester defended deep and caused difficulties on the counter, but never had a concrete chance, and Right in the final of the match, Lola Gallardo made a great save and the match ended 0-2 and gave us our second classification for the round of 16 of the Women’s Champions League of our history.
